For some reason I don't think private messages is working for me.
Regarding the cover - I don't think the 1977 KZ650 cover could be used for later charging systems. The 1977 cover is the only year KZ650 cover that uses uses 3 allen bolts to hold things in place, and I suspect that the inside of the cover is also configured differently than later covers. Could it be modified to work? Well, maybe, but i suspect it would be cost prohibitive. Ed

Here is what the inside of the covers looks like. Notice the difference between the 77 and later models. You maybe able to create some sort of plate to attach to the 77 cover and provides attachment for the later system. But as Lou indicated I an not sure there is enough space to do so.

I agree, it would take a modification/fabrication. He already paid for the old cover to be refinished, so he would like to use the old cover if possible.
