KZ1000 Z1R frame rescue was created by hvdm
I was just offered a Z1R in restorable state except that the rearmost bracket ( for the taillight) was cut off.
Is there any other model which i can cannibalise this off? Or use with some work?

The bracket takes the tail light and also doubles as the tail piece mount.
The Z1000mk2 is the same .

Thank you. I was afraid of that. I was hoping for a more common model
Does it just hold the taillight or are there any other pieces which locate from there.
If the former I might be able to fabricate a bracket to tide me over until the right piece comes along.

Here are two (poor) pictures of the tail. The seat latch, the rear fender, the taillight, and the rear cowl all mount to the tail section of the frame. But the shape is not that complicated. If you wanted it to be functional, and you had a reference to base it on, you could fab something hold everything in place. And once it's assembled you can't see the brackets. How much is missing? Are the turn signal mounts still present?

Thanks for the pics. That clears it up a lot!
The indicator brackets are still there but it's missing even more judging by your pics.
Is that for the seat to latch?
If it's functional that would be fine by me. just so I have the right dimensions.

The part you circled is the base of the seat latch bracket, but it looks like most of it has been cut off.

It still has the fender mount, so that's good.
