'78 KZ650B need new handlebar advice please! was created by Ninja1195
My stock bars on my '78 KZ650B are bent and tarnished and I wish to replace them.
I tried a set of Emgo Superbike but they ended up being a huge complication. Cables were too long and the MC hit the cluster.
Anything that is lower than stock but still not as aggressive as the Superbike stance?
Something that is pretty much "bolt on" without the need for new cables or new MC as well?
Many thanks!

Guessing you have higher stock US bars. Stock UK bars are halfway between US and superbike. Your cables will be longer than ideal but your MC will be fine.
The green 650 below is stock UK, the black 650 has Renthall superbike to compare.

For reference, here's a couple pictures stock 1977 KZ650 handlebars. I'm 6 feet tall and find them very comfortable. Ed

You could check EB to see if there are any stock handlebars. part numbers at Kawasaki.com. Partzilla. or Cmsnl.com.
Here's a pic of a set of European bars. check the dimensions at Z1Enterprises.com.
If these are too low, compare the measurements of the Daytona bars.
From low to high. drag bars. superbike. euro. daytona. not sure what else is available, but Z1Ent has Z1 repro bars that might be close to stock.

You might like "daytona" handlebars if the superbike style is too low for you. You may still need to get creative with the cable routing, though, if you had something higher before.
