No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI recently ordered a screw kit from KMCarburetor to replace the screws on my bike that have lost their plating and keep rusting on me.
It arrived today, and I must say that I'm incredibly impressed with the packaging on it, as well as their perceived quality. It also came with a #3 Vessel bit. I can't yet speak to the accuracy of them. It's raining cats and dogs here, so I'm not willing to compare at the moment. I do notice that these don't appear to have the JIS dot on them, but can't recall off the top of my head if that even exists on #3 screws.
Anyway, thought I'd start this thread to share. Seems like a fairly economical solution for replacing a lot of engine screws, even if it's short term until I can get the old ones to plating.

This guy replied to a post on Kawasaki Z1 Owners about 2 months ago and said he was putting these packages together. Good to see he pulled it off. His add says they have the dot. If yours don’t I’d contact him. The platting looks nice.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

They look good! The screws are easy enough to find. Those long bolts for the sprocket cover are hard to find. If you order from Partzilla you get the upset style. This is where I get mine from.

They also have the handlebar bolts with the number 7 on them but unfortunately they aren't chrome.

Follow up: it's still raining outside, but I went a lifted the cover in my bike, and confirmed that the #3 screws on the engine do not have the JIS dot, making these correct.
Here's some pictures of the way it arrived. When I went to order through eBay, I tried to add a #2 bit to my order, but eBay wanted to charge me like 6 bucks in shipping. I deleted it from my cart and made a note to seller on my order, hence the note on the invoice.
If I have one complaint about the packaging - and it's minor - it would be that the individual baggies aren't ziplock so I can put the old screws in a prelabeled package.

Also, although this is listed for a 73-75 Z1, and I'm using them for a '78 KZ1000, I'm pretty sure the only screw that I won't be using is the tachometer drive screw, as that is, oddly, a hex drive screw from factory.

Yes, I've seen both JIS screw and Allen key for the tach drive. I think all mine are screws. If you haven't used it before you're going to love that JIS bit.

I have JIS screwdrivers, but didn't have any bits. Be nice to have something I can put in a ratchet. Carb boots were a real PITA to replace with a screwdriver.Yes, I've seen both JIS screw and Allen key for the tach drive. I think all mine are screws. I looked through John Brookes book and the dot was used to indicate the bolt/screw thread pitch now conformed the the ISO standard, and no longer the JIS standard. This change only affected the M3, M4, and M5 as previously they were JIS pitch. The JIS M6, M8, M10, and M12 pitch were the same as the ISO, thus no dot.
ISO = International Organization for Standardization.

I ordered this set. Arrived first of last week. Nice stuff. I swapped out the right side bolts yesterday. Polished up the aluminum while is was there.
The only thing I noticed so far was the OEM longer bolts for the kick start cover are part thread and the rest shoulder. The replacement is thread full length. Don’t think it will be a problem.
Kaylinator, Thank you for the source.
