Quick Turn Throttle??? was created by Olbeedo
Hey fellas, I have limited range of motion on my throttle wrist and it was suggested I look into a quick turn throttle. Any suggestions? I'd like to keep the factory switch housing if at all possible. Thanks KZFanatics!!!

Be careful. I had a quick throttle on my BSA, and every time I would hit a bump I would accidentally move the throttle just a little.... but a little was a lot! Ed

Standard is normally around 270deg turn to wot. Quick turn are normally 180 deg. I have one on a 650 but to make it look "right" with oem switch gear i had to cut the face of so the clamp bolts on the quickie are recessed into where the oem cables fit. Just checked mine is 90 deg to wot.

you can tune the throttle action by changing the diameter of the pulley on the throttle tube. Bigger throttle tube pulley means less rotation to WOT but a heavier pull. You can achieve this by gluing a plastic strip to your OEM throttle tube pulley, but you will be limited in how big you can go because of the switch housing.
I hate repositioning my hand to go WOT so I have quick turn throttles on both my KZ1000 and KZ750. Both of them are a little more than a quarter turn to WOT. Most race shops will sell these. Motion pro has a couple options. I bought mine from Webike, they sell the throttle tube separately. I have 40mm pulleys with RS34 carbs.
