Cable routing with new handlebars

Alright, 1981 KZ750H LTD(4), I just bought a set of super bike handlebars to swap out with the old OEM bars and I’ve run into a problem, how can I route my clutch cable so it doesn’t bind? Throttle cable as well? It looks like the Clutch cable is far too long however the throttle cable may be able to be routed. I am fine with purchasing another clutch cable if it would be the best option. Thank you for your help!

Your likely to have an issue with the brake lever. The stock master cylinder is uniquely bent to fit the buckhorn style bars. Good luck.

I used GPz cables on my 750E with superbike bars installed.

@nessim can you provide the part number for your superbike bars and the cable? Just to make sure the OAL of our bars will be the same thus the cable will also match.

Clutch cable PN 54011-1101.  I can't remember what PN the throttle cable is.  You might want to check Partzilla for bikes like the 1982 GPz750 cables, and then hit ebay for the best price.  The early 750's used Keihin carbs but the GPz used Mikuni's.  I can't remember this being a problem though.  I'll look at the cable itself and if there is a PN I'll come back and post the info.   

A NOS oem clutch cable would be a better choice, but I installed a MotionPro MP03-0030 (Z1Ent part number TU06-3030). 49.5"L x 4" slack w Emgo Euro bars which have similar measurements to superbike bars.  My motorcycle has the same frame as the 750H Ltd.

I'm using Z1R cables on my GPZ 750R1 based bike, I bought mine from webike and they shorter than stock and are braided stainless..

I have seen that as well. I will be purchasing the new one from Z1 as soon as I get my valve shim measurements taken and know which valve shims to purchase. As well as a new front sprocket and fuel tank damper. But valve clearance measurement is tomorrows job. Thank you for the part number! 

also @nessim, I looked at the GPz750 throttle cable and it appears it will not work, the side that attaches to the starter button housing does not have a screw/bolt in side like the OEM one does. 

I forgot to mention, I'm using early 900 hand controls, I only need one throttle cable for the BS34's so I now have a spare...

Disagree.  The GPz 750 clutch cable is a straight bolt on and several inches shorter, which routs much cleaner than the long stock cable when using low bars.  

And Motion Pro cables are of inferior quality to OEM cables.  More prone to fitment and durability issues.

Edit: my throttle cable is TSK brand.  Made in Japan.  Almost certain is was OEM Kawasaki for some version of GPz.  I can see what looks like 12-1114 printed on the cable, only the 1114 part is smudged so that may be wrong.  

Very well, partzilla has it in stock for $30.67 for genuine Kawasaki clutch cable.

The throttle cable part number for an 82 GPz750-R1 is 54012-1130, this is from partzilla as well. However out of stock. But it does not look like the throttle cable will work so I may just reroute the cable long ways to avoid the headache of the throttle cable.
