Man, if I needed more larger parts off a bike then I might have considered it, just don’t have the room for another bike rn. Especially a non-runner.

Tank and gauges were worth $200. I’ll keep an eye out

Until I find a clutch pressure switch for less than $15, I think I’ll make the theft switch. I kept the connectors where it plugs into the main harness so it can be removed easily if/when I find a switch.
Currently waiting on the handlebars to ship, I will probably Throw on the old ones to move it around for now.
The new tire will definitely be put on this weekend, the estimated arrival date says Friday so let’s hope by Saturday it’s mounted, balanced, and holding air.
Slowly coming back together!

Say all, for this rebuild I’m looking to replace some worn parts as well. One thing I am looking to replace is sprockets. I would like a better highway rpm. Nothing insane but better than  5-6k rpm to keep 65mph. The Kz750H comes stock with a 32 tooth rear and a 13 front. Z1 have nothing smaller than 32 a 32 tooth so it looks like my best option is increase front tooth count. What should I increase to that will best help me in this scenario? Is there a formula that I can do that will actually show the rpm at which speed with the sprocket changes? Z1 current has a 14,15,16 tooth front in the 630 pitch chain.

However this is a possibility to change to a 530 chain. But the lowest 530 pitch rear sprocket is a 38 tooth. But it does go up to an 18 tooth front sprocket. Thoughts?

Someone will pop up and give more information on the size conversion but I'd go with a 520 or 530 conversion, The 630's are too big to go much bigger on the front, and you really don't need a chain as big as a 630. I'm doing a 520 conversion on my GPZ750, the chain rating is as good as any 630 or better and the whole setup is a lot lighter as well, The guy I bought the sprockets and chain off runs these 520 chains on his GSXR1000 and a friend uses 520 chain and sprockets on his Honda/4 race bike,  that has 118 rear wheel HP, yes, that HP number is correct. I think I may have my 520 chain and sprockets here, {my project is about 40 miles away},  if I do I'll post sizes. There is a chain and sprocket conversion chart somewhere on the forum, I used it to sort the ratio's out a while back. I went slightly taller on the gearing but I'm also using an 810 kit and bigger cams in my engine..

Both of them are decent looking bikes, thanks Mikaw! Unfortunately you are on the east side of the states but I’m located much further south. Atlanta Ga to be exact.

Welp, $45 later the new front tire is mounted, new valve stem installed, and the front end is all put back together. Now the only part that I HAVE to replace is the tachometer and indicator lights. Right side Muffler will hopefully come with the replacement of the entire exhaust with a 4-1 so I’m not jumping at the bit to get a new muffler for that one.
Good news is I checked my oil level while up on the center stand and it is perfect.

Also got to saddle soap the seat and reapply some leather conditioner to it as well. Not even a scuff on the seat. Still looks new!

Did they charge you 45 dollars just to fit a tire and balance ?

I have never had a bike with leading axle forks but the placement of your speedo drive doesn’t look correct.
