Hi guys,
Apologies if this is on the wrong forum but I'm hoping you can help.
I'm doing some work to a friend's GT550 (the engine is toast so he wants to fit an electric hub motor) and the swingarm is part of the driveshaft. If I replace this swingarm for a KZ750 swingarm I believe this will give me the space to fit the hub motor.
I'm struggling to find the information I need before I purchase one though. The GT550 swingarm mounting point is 300mm wide, I believe the KZ750 is only 225mm wide so I will need to space it out.
My question is.. Do you think this is will work or is it a terrible idea? if so, what do you suggest I use for the swingarm instead? should we just look at fabricating one from scratch?
Thanks.
