77' KZ1000 LTD fork tube length was created by Kelly E
Does anyone know how much longer the LTD forks are than the standard forks? The replacement speedometer cable my uncle installed is too short. I want to slide the tubes up in the triple trees to the regular length.

As far as I know they are the same length. I can measure for you later I have both. Looking at the bike it appears very tall in the rear.

I measured Kz900 A & B, ‘77 Kz1000  A & B and 1978 Kz1000 B and all are 30 1/2” to 30 9/16”  for axle centerline to top of upper stantion, not including any fork cap nuts.

EDIT- FYI the proper placement for the fork station is having the top of the stantion flush with the upper triple clamp.
