Side covers fixing brackets

Do someone know about alternative fixing broken «brackets» for the side covers?

Picture below is just from a example of the brackets I’m talking about, can take photos of mine covers when I’m coming back home.

 

I use a product called PlastiFix. It uses ultra fine abs powder and their liquid glue. I've repaired many side cover mounting pegs, tabs and I even fixed an 84' CB 700SC Nighthawk fairing after a crash including making two missing pieces. I get the PlastiFix from murphskits.com a Concours specialty vendor.
Here's my 94' Concours that had a piece missing from the fairing above the left turn signal when I got it. Once glued in you can fill voids with the powder/glue mixture. Now the repair is solid and has lived through several long distance rides and a drop, maybe someday I'll paint it.

In my case I gave my brother the dimensions of the old one and he 3d printed some new tabs for me. I just cut them to length and glued them with ABS epoxy - still going strong after 2 years.

I have been doing a lot of plastic work on my build and have found a couple of things worth noting. First you need to establish what the panel is made of, my Ltd has one OE panel which is ABS and one pattern panel which is made of a different plastic which I suspect is polypropylene. PP is a " low surface energy" plastic and products made for ABS don't bond it. They will stick but can be pulled off again with little effort. If the panel is PP there are a couple of products that will bond it, there is a 3M product recommended by DOHC or a UK product called PP3000. ( details of both are at the bottom of page 9 in my build thread) however both these products are expensive as you need to buy the bonding agent, a dispenser and nozzles which run at around €80 euros all in so another panel may be a more cost effective option (I had no choice as I was modifying the panels)
You can establish if it is ABS by applying some "acetone" with a cloth to a small area on the back of the panel, if it is ABS the surface will become sticky as the acetone dissolves the surface ( don't go crazy with the acetone)

I've used a similar product called Q Bond (it comes with powder for bonding plastics, as well as powder for bonding metals) with consistent success. You heap up the powder, then drip the liquid onto it, and it pretty much instantly hardens. A couple of people have told me they did something similar with baking soda and CA glue, but I can't confirm or deny the efficacy of that approach.
 

You can do the same thing with PlastiFix. I like it because the glue doesn't glue your fingers together.

I repaired holes (previous owner had mini led turnlights) and a loop on the rear cowl by melting Lego (you can use the same color as the panel) in acetone. Paste it on the parts you want to attach and they melt together. My repair looks fine after 4 years at least. Best thing is that its cheap!

Must be ABS plastic.
