I am confused, I understand why this bike is special to you and it is admirable that you have taken it on "out of respect" for your friend. What I find confusing is, if you want it to remain "bone stock as it left the factory" then why are you looking for a non-original sprocket/gear ratio
- Scirocco This Z1 is special and will remain as it was built. But to your point, my other bike is well over 100hp and has many hp upgrades.
- Wookie58 I never said this was bone stock. Almost nothing about this is stock. Their were numerous engine, trans, carb, exhaust, ignition, suspension, wheel rim (aluminum and wider rear), and gearing upgrades. Also, turn signals, mirrors and unnecessary weight was shaved off and lower and narrower handle bars installed. Also an LTD seat was used to keep you from sliding back at launch. This is a good example of a drag bike from the late 70's or early 80's. This thing is a beast. Just had it on the dyno and I've got 105hp at the rear wheel. My intention is to restore this to a new "level" of finish but keep it as he built it. It's fun!

Bike is stunning, my mistake assuming "keeping it as it was built" meant by the factory. Obviously "touched a nerve" going by the "shouty text" which wasn't the intention.
Be well

- Wookie58 No problem. For some reason my reply defaulted to bold text. Not intentional. This winter I plan on sending the gauges out for restoration and I will restore the dash and headlight. I hope I am close to the end since this has been going on for almost two years. I have enjoyed every minute of it.. Thank you for your kind words!

- Wookie58 It's an amazing story about a man that loved bikes and how he cleverly remembered his friend as he was dying.

May i ask, are the wire spoke rims (Aluminum?) made by Akront in Spain?
An what dimension they are, front and rear?

Negative, mine is a after market sprocket from that company, "sprocket-specialest", and it is 630 pitch, 37 tooth. Also it was purchased back in the early 90's, so I quess they've been around a while.
Sprocket on order. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you everyone for you help. Ultimately, I had to have one cut by Sprocket Specialties. Again, Thank You!
