rear shocks kz900
Yesterday 02:52 - Yesterday 02:53
Wen i bought some spare parts from UK i came across these shocks for Z1 i dont have a z1 but a 1976 kz900 A4. I had no plans buying new chocks but they are cheep 80 GPB or 110 usd. I like the look with the reflector on the z1 but not sure how they will look on my bike. The important thing is how do they work.
are they garbage ? stiff? soft? pogostick? at that price i guess they may be only for museum .

Those are after market. The springs are much glossier than originals. Chrome wasn't as good back then.
I still have the originals on my Z1B and they work just fine. Mind you, I don't tear around like I did back in the day.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

A popular choice for quick gratification but like Hardrock mentioned chroming isn't like original. Actually it's not so much the high gloss of the springs but the damper units and adjusters that are too "show chromey". Originals were more of a thinner brushed chrome appearance. Also the rubbers for mounting are waay too soft and collapse and/or turn to mush. But what do you expect for 99dollars??

Ok thanks for input guys. I think the shocks that is on the bike now is the original they work okay. I just bought these because i like the reflector.
I will put them on and see how they feel and look on my bike. Not a big job 4 screws
