brake power

Looking to get a little more braking power from my front and rear brakes. Any ideas? I was thinking swap to 4 piston calipers up front?

Do you have braided steel lines? If not get em!

I agree with Rom about the braided SS lines. They have made a huge difference in braking power on my bikes. At this point, I cannot imagine the need to do anything more. I go fast, the bike stops quick.

I can't tell you how much diff. you get by installing stainless lines as I put them on at the same time I insalled 2 six piston calipers from a ZX-6 onto my bike, all I can tell you is that this setup flat WORKS. I don't need to do anything to the rear, cause it locks easy when it's in the air!! :woohoo: It will lift the rear on a clean road (or lock it on a not so clean road) with just a firm 2 finger squeeze. I posted a pic on a thread called "check out these brakes" in this forum, it's on the 5th page now.

stainless ss lines are the way to go. i use them with my old school front and rear end setup. makes a huge diffrence. i run a zzr1200 front end with duel piston calipers on my kz1000 and i hardly even touch the rear brakes except before throwing her over in a big curve.

Braided SS lines and kevlar pads made all the diference with mine. You can get way better results from 6 piston calipers but will lose the stock look.
