Lowering cartridge forks was created by StreetfighterKz
Hey all,

I have a question and can't find a solid answer anywhere. I have a set of '01 Gsxr600 45mm cartridge forks for my 'Strip-fighter that I need to lower. I haven't found a good answer anywhere on how to do so. I've gathered that you have to take apart the damper rod assembly and mess with the spacers. Anybody lowered this type of fork or has a hint for me? I need to lower them approximately and 1" or so.

Thanks
Later, Doug

how familiar are you with cartrige style suspension?

standard style forks are a spacer arrangement issue.

these take a lot more precision surgery modification, too complex for me to give remote instruction.

but it is possible and on a range of 1-10 difficulty it is above a 7

I work at a Suzuki dealership, and was a tech here for a while. I never dealt with forks much. I have access to factory tools and service manuals. I just need to know where to put spacers and shorten spacers. I already have one leg 90% apart.
