7/8 Offset Sprocket

I am currently mounting a 1991 ZR 750 Zephyr swing arm on my 80 MkII. Using a 1992 ZX1100 rear wheel.

I am wondering about mounting a 7/8 offset sprocket, not sure if I need that much but this looks the closest, I will re-measure after I get the tire mounted to the wheel this weekend.

Will I need extra bracing for this offset? Like a bearing support?

I've never heard of a 7/8 offset for a KZ. I belive someone makes one for a GS though, but I could be wrong.As far as I know...5/8 is the big one for a KZ, unless you go to 3" offset.

Are you sure that you need that much offset? Im going to be running a 6 inch zx7 wheel in a zx6 swingarm and i will only need 3/8 offset

I was wrong, and I'm glad.

I got the tire mounted this morning and got everything lined up nicely with spacers, and brake. And it looks like 3/8 is going to do it. I am glad I do not need a bearing support.

www.pmfronline.com/ do make a 7/8 offset for the KZ. I plan on buying from PMFR as they are local and I know John the owner. Hopefully I can get a discount.

Unless there is a cheaper alternative from another bike that works. If so please let me know.

That's great! I'm going to be building another bike this winter and knowing there is a 7/8 offset makes it more feasible. Wasn't sure if 5/8 offset was going to be enough. Glad you started this!

won't a 7/8" hit the frame?
76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.
