Throttle assembly, need help! was created by AJCrader
I was wondering if there are any good aftermarket throttle assemblies for a dual cable setup? All I can fid are sing cable, and being that i'm building a drag bike, I like the idea of being able to close the carbs with the throttle, any help or point in the right direction would help....

I you do find one, try to get a 1/4 turn throttle. Makes it easier to launch.

www.pmfronline.com I'm still checking on that swingarm. Pmfr stuff is pretty tough. Been very happy with them so far.

They are $400?!?!?! isn't that a lot? I found an old triumph 7/8" dual cable on ebay for like $23 so far(just found out it is dual pull). Is it because its billet or something? i'm a bit lost

would it make much difference to use just one cable? I'm all about being as safe as possible, I could always rig up something to pull just in case right? I just can't seem to find something that is clean enought to replace it.

Depending on what you have left on your 650, you carbs (if they're VM24's) should have a huge spring to make the throttle return to it's original position, the return cable seems to be almost overkill, but you know what they say...safety first.

FWIW, when I put some CV34's on my bike, they did not have a return cable, but had return spring and it seemed to work fine.

to be honest i have no clue what carbs are on it, but they seem to be stock, and yes there is a huge return spring on there, I guess i should just go by the cycle shop by me and look at what they have for comparison to what I have seen on here

You cuold leave the kill switch on it. At any track there is ample room to freak out, poop yourself then think, hey I have a kill switch.:P
