37mm forks in 36mm tripples

anyone know the chances of fitting 37s in a 36 tripple?
I was running old ex500 forks (1st gen) and bent one.
local yard only can get as close as 37s

Get your top and bottom triple trees machined. That's pretty much all you could do to fit oversized forks. Or swap the whole setup, triple trees and all.

I would think you could machine 1mm over.. maybe 2mm.

I would asy 0 to none without a bore job.

answers my question. machining is not a prob. Iwas worried about the integrity of the clamps. Whats losing 1mm anyway,right?

I don't think it is much in this instance. Increasing the diameter 1mm only increases the radius by .5mm. The circumference increase should be very small.

If you had a 37mm clamp and you putting 36mm forks in it, and cranking down on the bolts, I would be much more concerned!
