79 KZ1000ST front caliper bolt lube

Hi, have a 79 kz1000st that I removed the right side caliper,pisto ring looks OK but the 4 ea bolt seals that the 2 bolts go through were torn up and it looks like that was the cause for the black streaks. Would like to know what type of lube is used on these bolts? thnks

well since it shows my name as posting something i guess i might as well say something! those black boots are meant to keep the gunk off of the slider bolts and can be a major pain in my experiance.i always plate mine so they slide pretty easy with nothing on them but you might try a little hi-temp grease on them,not too much though so it doesnt get hot and drip on pads or rotors;) goodluck,happy wrenching!

A little dab of high temp wheel bearing grease

i used some mobil synthetic grease on both of mine. so far so good. they slide nice now...steve
