Does this require drilling the frame holes bigger?i upped all mine to 7/16" on the front ones including the long one going through cases, made my mounts out of 3/8" stainless steel
How about that neck sheet metal area guys? anyone tackled this yet?

And it's noticeably heavier than the non turbo GPz750.
Indeed, this is one of the problems I ran into with my Yamaha Seca Turbo: They used a stock Maxim 650 frame which may as well have been made out of slinkies. A buddy of mine had one just like mine and he learned the hard way to never try and follow a GSX-R 750 through a twisty canyon road!

It's an '82 GPZ 1100. Looks like it has some of the frame rigidity addressed by additional cross-members and dual front engine mounting brackets. Any recommendations for additional bracing? I'm thinking about a couple possibilities: a cross member and possibly diagonal brace behind the carbs near the rear engine mount; some gusseting in the corners of the 'rear triangle;' possibly removing the thin sheet metal at the head tube and gusseting with heavier guage cro-mo. Is any of that really necessary? I'll eventually be dropin' in a 1175 wiseco kit in with a hot street cam (not sure which one yet). Will be mounting a zepher 1100 swingarm, and a modern USD fork from a zx10. Curious to hear your thoughts.
Cheers,
Mav
