NEW PAINT JOB
03 Dec 2006 16:05
Just some pics of my 84 GPZ550 with the new paint job.
Paint is PPG Galaxy Silver with a custom made decal set and 4 coats of PPG automotive clear coat on top. I did the decal kit myself for about 15 bucks: Decals were "traced" in a computer illustration software (I work as a Graphic Designer) from a perfect side photograph of an original bike, then scaled to real size and vynil cut. Finally I applied them and after that the paint shop finished the job with clear coat.
I also added two little non original badges: "DOHC INLINE FOUR" below the GPz550 badge and "STREET SPORT" on the sides of the tail cowl. Just couldn´t resist that
I think that it looks pretty cute, right?
Gonna post nicer pics when I get her on the street again. That garage doesn´t make a nice environment...

Have you ever been...to electric ladyland...doh, I mean
www.gpz550.com
If you click on "messages" then "discussion forum" that gets you to a searchable forum if you are interested. A few members here (me included) post over there in GPz land too. A good bunch I think.

Thanks for your comments guys!
Yes I have been around www.gpz550.com several times, but I keep coming to KZR because is a lot user-friendlier and of course, is like the Bible of KZ/Z/ZX bikes, with lots of info on every subject.
I think that an updated and friendlier version of the GPz site will be very welcomed indeed. I understand that Barry (the current webmaster) has sold his GPZ, maintaining the site anyway. He could need some help or somebody that can run the site, so I tell you that I´m a graphic and web designer able to take over the task, in fact I´ll enjoy pretty much running such a site. If you guys happen to be in touch with the current webmaster, send me a U2U with the data.
Cheers
