Site speed test. Compare to "Another shed ..."

I'm speculating that one of the reasons why the site has been experiencing refresh delays is because we've all been inserting our attached pictures rather than using the thumbnail option, which is the default.

Check it out. This thread loads in less than two seconds while the "Another Shed..." thread takes twenty seconds to load.

That depends on how quickly the other site responds to the request. If all other things are equal the delay shouldn't be significant. The problem with external links is that KZR has no ability to maintain them.

Sometimes it's faster to host them elsewhere. Takes the load off YOUR server. Also, should not count towards your bandwidth, if...

There is something about the PICs UL'd, that slows down the page/thread loading. Did you resize and/or compress the PICs in the "Another shed ..." thread? What's their (avg) size, MB & pixels, for the post.

Yea, outside sites... you have no control over. But that may be the load reliever.
