MSRP

Does anyone know the approximate MSRP of a 1978 KZ 1000 LTD ?
I have the loan papers for my 1978 KZ 1000 LTD and the original owner financed $3499.
I purchased a KZ1000 LTD new in 1977 and I thought i only paid around $1999.
Maybe my memory is off.

I remember paying about $3,500.00 Dollars new in the Spring of 1978 for a new 1978 LTD 1000
My prior 75 H 2, 750 two stroke was 1400 new , in 1976 , pretty sure it was a 75 , last year of production , sold new from dealer one year later to me.
Memory is getting weak for some details.

Funny 1978 Z1Rs were very poor sellers new and around 19 80 they were giving them away for about 1500 Dollars new
