BTW, are those bar end weights shown in the photo?

Yes, that is bar end weights, I've have a set of new handle bars, but have not fitted them yet. I guess the bar end weights are not original.
I have also read that 1976 Z900 Euro model came with dual disc. It is not the purpose to make it a Euro model, but it is more for the safety, as I feel these solid discs does not take very well, especially when it is wet. Since it also comes as an upgrade kit I feel it will still be "orignal". I already have an extra disc and brake caliper, need all the pipes and the caliper piston. I believe I also need to change to a larger brake fluid reservoir.

Aside from the seat, you bike appears 100% original and in absolutely pristine looking condition! :woohoo: B)

Hi RRRR - Actually I believe the seat is original, except it is missing the strop across. Or was it something else you saw

Your bikes seat probably has the original seat pan, but the vinyl seat cover itself appears to have been replaced at one time. The orignal covers had a faux stitched pattern in the seating area and piping near the back, and I believe the sides as well.

Here's a diagram pic from the Kawi website showing the seat from a '76 KZ900-A4 where you can see the piping and faux stitched pattern I'm refering to.
