tack cable leaks oil at cylinder head was created by manc262
1980 ltd 1000 the tack cable leakes at the cylinderhead i put new gasgets in but it still leaks

Question, please -- what year and model of bike?

Usually not a "gasket" at all. Generally a special seal around the inside spinning shaft plus an o-ring on the holder fitting into the head. Should not leak even if tach cable is disconnected or missing altogether. :)
