HELP - Need a 650/750 part discontinued by Kawasaki

Hey Gang - Hopefully someone can help me out from their spare parts bin.

I need the triangular-shaped, cast aluminum cam chain adjuster that connects to the back of the cylinders underneath the carbs. The part is now discontinued by Kawasaki. I would like to stick with the stock part instead of ordering an aftermarket manual adjuster if possible.

I don't need the cam chain plunger or spring, just the cast aluminum housing that bolts to the cylinders. The top bolt hole on mine cracked while I was putting it on a few days ago and is unusable.

The adjuster would have to fit a roller cam chain 650 from 1976-1980 or the 1980 Kz/750 4 cylinder motor.

Any help would be appreciated.

I put a manual on mine, so I have this one here just sitting around. Plus if I need another one, there is a junkyard nearby

Hi kzwolfsr - thanks for the reply. The one shown in your pic looks different than mine which is more triangular in shape at the end. I am going to take a closer look and reference with buykawasaki.com to see what the difference is.

There are the manual type, and the automatic types. In '79 I believe they switched to the automatic type.

They can be installed with the adjuster and locknut on the right side of the bike or left side, works either way.

I got mine back out of the shop a few years back and they had installed it reverse from what I was used to.:whistle:

If the seller says no, maybe there's a KZr member on the East coast that would buy it and re-ship to you.
