i have 2 goldwings. a 79 GL1000, and the bike that ignited my passion for touring, Goldie - shes a 82 GL1100. i bought goldie on a whim. i already had a nice, and at the time, stock KZ 750b that i rode everywhere. but a friend at the bar was selling his goldwing. i thought "what a huge bike, i bet it handles like a giant pig." so after some pressureing by him i decided to take this huge, full faring w/bags, and trunk for a spin. well i eased it out of its parking spot, and down the road i went. i liked the power it had over my KZ, and it handled much better than i thought it would. then i noticed the stereo. turned it on. "Born to be Wild" began blaring over the stereo. that was it. i knew she had to be mine. i went back to the bar. did a few shots with my friend dickering over price. and 1/2 hour later Goldie was mine. i put about 30,000 miles on her before i gave her a name. but shes been with me to places no bagger should even think of going. i have put about 60,000 miles on her. but i have stopped rideing her while i enjoy my KZ, now faster and neater looking. i plan to make a Strociek project out of her next simester. always wanted a 16' motorcycle.
well short story long, thats where i get 1100cc. i'll try to post some kz picks with this post but if size dosent allow i will have to do it later with puter help from the wifey.
see yall in cyberspace.

Hey Wyo rider,

I just bought 2 1979 KZ1000 1E's( or I think they are 1E) shaft drive and I am also new to this place. I just got the bug to have a project bike and I am going to try and make one bike from two. I also own a 2004 Vulcan 2000. What a great bike. It is my first bike and it screams. I need to go. What part of wyo are you from? My wife is from Laramie. I'm in Colorado.
