Sadly, I've only had one really good day of riding since i got it last week. Before i got the bike, it was sitting in a garage, but was started weekly, and the previous owner took good care of it. Unfortunately I've been having issues with a loss of power at low revs, and a pretty rough idle, which we're now trying to diagnose.
I'll have pictures up very soon, so everyone can see my "new" baby.

IIRC, you're about the 5th new member signing up here with a KZ650 in the past week.
I think the 900 and 1000 owners are slackin' off a bit.
And yes, please post some pics of your "new to you" bike when you get a chance.

Hope you find the cause for your loss of power, and rough idle. A carb cleaning may be in order, or maybe just some SeaFoam or similar added to the Gas and run through the bike.

Welcome Jules. And yes, bring on the pix.
Hope you find the cause for your loss of power, and rough idle. A carb cleaning may be in order, or maybe just some SeaFoam or similar added to the Gas and run through the bike.
Ditto on the Seafoam. Worked great for me and I still use it every few thousand miles.

The 650s are definitely popular around here and are a sweet machine. Very approachable and well mannered, until you twist that grip.
Enjoy!
