After suffering an incurable case of "Kettle" (also known as "water Buffaloe") I have caught "Zed Head" (or KZ head in th US!)
I have a US model KZ650B2 in green (I know it was not made that colour, this one should have been Red)
I got the bike 2 weeks ago with 6900 miles on the clock and we have just come up to 7300 miles.
Bile is completley standard and runs brilliantly.
Regards Taffus

is she a 78' with 77 bodywork?
That would be my guess. The engine is not a 77 since it does not have the early charging system (no allen bolts visable on the dyno cover) also the front master cylinder is not round. The 78's came in blue and kind of a burnt orange color stock. That body work is from a 77 though. Beautiful bike, now we know where all the pristine low mileage bikes go, to the UK.

This is what I have found out about it.....
It was imported to the UK in April '92. It has been declared as manufactured (To the UK Government) in 1977 which could make it the 78 model year.I think it is a b2 model, which did not come in green,I have scratched the paint on the back of the side panels and it is ......RED underneath.
All the other clues were spotted above eg the master cylinder and generator.
I have all the UK road test documentation from 94 and the milage appears genuine and is consistent with parts and complete lack of wear, even the rubbers are soft! The switch gear is ....perfect!
The only real letdownis the exhausts are rusting from th e inside out.
To answer an earlier question I will be keeping it as standard as possible, it is really too good to mess with but I will put chrome covers on the clocks and put a Kawasaki grab rail (I have a genuine item already) but that really is all that I intend to do
