Well hi !
As my username states I own an Ex CHP 1992 KZ1000P-11,
it was in service in Sacremento CA and was auctioned at 68,000mls , then bought by a motorcycle escort company in Denver CO. I bought it from them in late 2005, and already it has 81,000mls. It is a fun bike, very balanced, and comfortable. I did a lot of cleaning and rebuliding but it was worth it. It does attract a lot of attention up in the northeast (not so many up here, another 2 i know of in MA), I believe Hollis NH Police have one in active service. It does have its negatives especially at night, people see the shape in the rear view and slow down real quick, takes them a while to realize it does not have red/blue lights up front. One driver slammed on to stop and put on their seat belt in front of me, scared the daylights out of me ! Some day after I run up some serious mileage, I will restore it back to a CHP bike and trailer it to a show or two, right now I just like riding it. Hopefully heres a Before pic, i will stick some "after " pics in the gallery.
