I've been browsing this forum for some time now and thought that I might introduce myself. I live in Stockholm, Sweden, and bought my KZ650 B2 -78 last autumn.
This winter I took the bike apart, except the engine, to give it a good clean, adjustment and polishment. There are a few things regarding the engine and carburettors, but I intend to take it slowly. Otherwise the bike is in pretty good shape and runs well.
Here in Sweden the spring starts to come and I took the bike out for a spin a few days ago. What a nice feeling...
It's a really nice site with a lot of experienced people, so I will probably be here sometimes.
I also post a pic of the bike...

You did a nice clean-up job.
Have a great riding season. Best of success.
PS
Is that the stock muffler? If not, where did you get it?

Yes, I hope it will be a nice season for biking. Better than last year ...
The mufflers are not stock Kawasaki, but stock Suzuki. Came with the bike and are a little to big, though. Some day I would like to buy some new original ones or second hand ones. But for the time being, they are okej.
Check out my carburettor issue on the carburettor forum. Any idea?

Good to see you here.
Your bike looks great. Love the colour.
Any idea what Suzuki model the exhaust is from?
Could be a whole new sorce for those with kz650s for exhausts.

I will check if the Suzuki model is written on the mufflers.

That is a fine 650 you have. Very sharp. Also, welcome to the exclusive 650 club.

You've got a real nice example of a '78 650. You did a nice job on it.
I hope you take your camera with you when you ride...take some pics of that beauty in front of some of your local landmarks!

Welcome Martin. Sweden sounds a lot like Michigan. Warm dry days are rare and you have to take advantage of riding your cycle as much as possible.
There are lots of very knowledgeable folks on this board. We hope you will be able to find answers to all your questions here. The site owner is from Norway and there are plenty of other Euro-folk here also. So you are in good company.
