I am a late bloomer to motorcycles, I just got my license last May and have not gotten off of the bike since, except for the long snow filled winter months. I am looking for some fellow riders in Calgary to take the occasional trip and learn a few new routes for getting away from all of the traffic here in COWTOWN.
I clocked just under 8000km last year, with the highlight of my season, riding home from Vancouver to Calgary on a newly purchased (1979 KZ1000ST) what a find. Paint is showroom.
Anyways, I am in the process of slowly fixing up a 1978 KZ650B2 with the eye pleasing spoked rims. To date I have had added a new rear tire, rebuilt the front brakes, synced the carbs, had the valves adjusted, and I am anticipating a new paint job within the next few weeks.
If you are a rider and are looking to go for a run, then please reply.
To all of the fellow members of this group, I must say it is nice to see so many other people out there with the love for the coolest bike STILL on the road.

Nates vintage bike axiom: Riding is the reward for time spent wrenching.

Sandy, I agree with you totally. A guy could ride in the Kootenays and Monashees for the rest of his life on practically anything and would be laughing from start to finish. Those roads are the best, bar none.....and no traffic to speak of. What's not to like ??
We're heading your way twice (at least) this year.....once in mid-July and once in early-mid August. I plan on taking the 650 on the July run....but need the big iron (1200 Bandit) for the August run. PM me about the mid-July run and maybe we can hook up. It's a camping weekend for the me and the guys that are going.
