new guy - new KZ1300! was created by jloyd
Just joined the site - and just bought myself a 1982 KZ1300 with Vetter package. Bike is in great shape, except for the timing chain tensioner. No bent valves though, guess I got lucky. Bought it sight unseen - never met the seller. Talked to him on the phone, his price was good ($400), and he seemed honest. I've been a mechanic, both cycle and auto/light truck, for about 30 years. Thought I would take the gamble. I've always liked the big sixes, now I've got an excuse to spend my $$$$$ on one.

Welcome!!
Awesome find but theres a rule in these forums that when you get a good deal it's mandatory to post pictures j/k but we'll want them any ways and maybe even a video. Ride safe and don't be afraid to dive in with questions and conversations we are a friendly bunch.

Grab a ZX11 cam chain tensioner. Bolts right on and suppose to be better than stock. Oh and part of signing up is post pics of your bike and everything you do to it.
