new kz on the block in north florida was created by rocker4488
well, not really 'new' as you may have guessed.
its a 1979 kz1000 e1 or shaft drive model.
pretty neat bike, basically an mkII w/ the shafty modifications.
was painted a deep red w/ light metallic flake and had the whole engine and accessories repainted black about 15 years back as i am told, and it still looks great. most of the bike has been gone through and runs fairly well as is. Finishing off the last few things to get her running perfectly as she has been sitting for the better part of the last 2 years. at the ripe age of 20, this is far from my first bike, but my first classic, and def my first kz and im loving every minute of it.

20 huh?
Please feel free to play the "Look for the car that might kill me" game. I play it whenever I am within ten feet of my bike.
Welcome and well wishes.

Oh, so there's a name for what I've been doing all these years to stay alive and well! Thanks.
Seriously, one tried to take me and my son out from the left two days ago. Be careful out there! The rider should outlast the bike.
Best of success.

I know it would not be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

And take advantage of your youth to teach others. Trust me (i'm 18) nothing scares stupid cager more than the rider they nearly took out getting off the bike and interrupting their phone conversation. You don't even have to get violent or profane. The fact you got off the bike and are confronting them is usually enough. The old guys normally don't do that around here.
