New KZ750 LTD owner. was created by Fleg
Hey guys,
Just picked up a 1983 KZ750. From what I can tell it's a F1 LTD (I think) due to it having a Shaft drive and has F1 on the model sticker.
I picked it up for a song but has issues. At first it wouldn't start or run without the help of a generous application of starting fluid. Now I got it to where it will idle but only on three cylinders. It also has massive exhaust leaks around the head on at least two cylinders and a oil leak from the shifter.
Should be a fun project!!

Welcome, you've come to the right place. First things first...if you don't already own a official Kawasaki shop manual, buy one...there is one for shaft 750's (check eBay and they are usually reasonably priced). This manual will answer many of the questions that will arise during the resurrection process.
