My first non-honda! was created by tomsweb1
Hi all. I just got my first Kawasaki last weekend. I traded a china cabinet for it. It is an 82 KZ1300. This is the biggest bike I have ever owned, and my first non-Honda. Not that I'm biased, those were just the best opportunities at the time!
She does run, but not very well at all. I'm going to pull the carbs tomorrow, since that is the area I know best.
I will post some pics if there is any interest.

Now that you have a Kawasaki you will never go back. Plan on buying a 1000 or 900 soon and you will truly fall in love.

ok, pics it is! I hope this will suffice... she's a little rough right now, but that won't last long...

Sure looks like a lot of weight on the back of that bike! LOL Seen some of these turbo'd. Heard they are a hard running bike, everything considered. I'm sure it will bring a lot of fun miles for you.

Nice bike!! These bikes clean up nice and run smooth as silk when working properly. A complete tune up and carb clean goes a long way toward this. Good info available at
autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/KawaSixes/
and at

Thanks guys. I forgot to mention, I'm from Edmonton Alberta, Canada, and I've been riding since I was fifteen.
I can't wait to get her running right, I'm sure it will be a blast!
Thanks for the links, Iceman, I'm now a part of the Yahoo group!
