I posted a question in the chassis forum about the handlebars of my bike not being original. I have waited 3 days and have not had a response. Should I wait longer? Should I re-post? Just looking for some advice.
I look forward to learning from anyone that will teach me. Thanks in advance for all your help.
I do not have pictures as of yet but I do have a link to the bike when it was on sale previous to me buying it.

Hello all. I am finally a bike owner after many years of wishing. I enjoyed many good times with my Dad back in the 70s/80s on his 650sr. He used to take me to most of my ball games on his bike and we had many good time when my 3 brothers could not intervene. I miss him and his bike.

The Bike looks great with those bars... what was your question? Beleive me, those bars look better than the stock ones, and are probably more comfortable too!

Thanks, I haven't ridden it alot, just a few hours. It ran great though. I am very pleased.
The objective is often finding most comfort at highway speeds where wind resistance lifts upper body away from the handlebars. At cruising speed, the upper body just floats in the sweet spot between being blown backward and leaning heavily into the handlebars.
The comfortable showroom seating position with higher and more pulled back stock bars usually means a more upright body position which requires hanging onto the grip and fighting on-the-road wind resistance, which soon becomes very tiring. Known as the "Sit up and beg" position. With such bars, a back rest to lean against is very helpful at highway speeds.
Also, many riders enjoy less butt ache when leaned more forward for longer distances using the lower bars.
With a good large windshield or fairing, the stock bars are okay, and likely more comfortable for longer distances, being more upright like the showroom seating position.
Besides all that, the existing bars look fantastic.
I would give them a fair trial before returning to stock bars.
Good Fortune!
