Hello there!
I recently completed the MSF course and understandably have since picked up my first bike.
She is a 1982 kz440d with 3000 original miles and a very nice condition overall.
She is my first and I want to keep her nice and pretty! I have found kz400.com and it's wealth of knowledge should hold me over until my Clymers manual arrives in the mail.
Be careful, if asked I will post more pictures!

Thanks for the compliment Alien!
I will definitely have fun and in order to ride safe...will refrain from doing so until I get my license...stupid slow inefficient DMV!!

Nice bike...if I might suggest, the Clymers will tide you over, but you probably should pick up the appropriate KHI shop manual...eBay would be your source.

Thanks for the compliments Mcdroid and 650ed. I found a digital copy of the service manual but will probably spend the $35 on ebay for a paper copy at some point.
Here is a picture of the inside of the gas tank. There is some flaking and rust colored spots near the bottom.
When do I need to go about stripping the gas tank down and resealing it? I think POR 15 is made to dissolve the rubbery time of sealant it looks like is in there now.
I am going to install a fuel filter this week. Will it fit under the seat next to the petcock? Looks kinda tight.
Cheers!
