80 kz1000 SCORE! first bike was created by 80kzguy
Hi all. im new to the site and riding as well. I scored a pretty nice running kz1000 for $800. a little nervous about learning to ride on this bike but excited as well. Also just got an 80 cx500 on a trade. thinking about learning on this first, or should i just jump on the kz. let me kno what you guys think. ill try to post pics soon.

The single best thing that you can do as a new rider is to take the MSF basic rider safety course. Well worth the weekend. You get work out all that initial nervousness on their bike. Then get used to riding the 500. It will be more forgiving than the 1000. Lighter weight, and less power. You'll be ready to step up to the big bike in no time.
