Been lurking most of the winter whenever the urge to ride my '76 900 gets too bad.
Current mods include a swap to Z1 bodywork, 1015 motor with 28's, homebrew port work, dyna-s and coils, k&n's and a supertrapp highpipe, gs swinger, zx7 mc, and misc other bits and pieces.
Hope to add a bit to the the forum and learn a lot.

Thanks, hopefully the pic works, despite the bike not being much to look at at the moment.

The seat is a loaner until I stretch the new cover over the ltd seat I cut down dramatically.
The paintjob is still in the planning stages. I want a slightly custom replica of the brown/orange '73 job, but all I can afford is rattlecan.

What front fender is that from? A 900 LTD?
2000 ZRX 1100
1976 KZ 900- Daily Driver
1980 LTD 550- Dalton Highway survivor!
If it has tits or tires, it'll give you problems!

Welcome in Merc! You didn't lurk all that long. Heck, I lurked here for two years before I signed up. Looks like your bike has potential. I'm not a great fan of that seat, but it sounds like you have a plan. Have a look at Old Man Rock's bike. It's painted with duplicolor, then topcoated with two part clear. Get some automotive two part clear sprayed on top so that your paint will be fuel resistant. Gas will wreck a rattlecan job in 10 seconds. Keep those pictures comin'

Welcome aboard. Bike looks like a good platform to work off of, looks pretty good now. But the seat does leave room for a nitrous bottle to be hidden under it, just a thought.
