Wow-never heard of those before ! But ,unfortunately , I think it's going to need a heli-coil.Most of the threads appear gone-almost as a smooth hole with scoring,but man-that plug was in there tight!And strangely,no aluminum in the plug threads either !? But thanks for the cool tip_definately will keep it in mind !

Would consider a reverse tap (aka back-tap) tool that starts the re-threading at deep end of the hole where the threads are still good.
Does not require removal of the engine head.

Heli-coil is one way to repair the threads, Keen serts are another, but thi way seems to be the most durable:http://www.timesert.com/
