I've been lurking lots of forums for a few years, ever since I started the long road to restoring my father in law's 77 kz650 C1. That bike got me interested in motorcycles, and I intend to get it fixed up nicely after a long and brutal stint in the pole barn. I'm currently deployed, so the poor bike is getting a break from my amateur attempts at fixing it. I'm either going to farm the work out while I'm gone, or acquire another similar bike to use for parts and reference when I return (I managed to lose some of the smaller parts by moving everything several times while disassembled). Either way, I'm in it for the long haul because I've fallen in love with the KZs (even some of the ugly ones).

Thanks guys. Looking forward to being home, but I've only been here a short time, and I won't be home until the end of the next riding season. Maybe we can get some Michiganders together when I come home for my R&R. If not, there's always off season garage meets.
