Than cut the front pivot section off and weld it to the arm inline or "Training" it in front of your current swing arm, than box it in. I'm in NJ as well and if you don;t get what I'm saying let me know and I can show you.

Yeah, I'm gonna go over the whole bike and do all the maintenance before I even start it because its sat for 2 years without being started....now about fixing it and selling it, not gonna happen...it's my first bike so it's kinda special (I'm dumb, I know) I really wanna ride it for a while as is while I'm buying all the parts I want to bob it and then when I get everything ill make it a bobber and I kinda wanna keep it forever even if I get other bikes...as for getting a bigger bike, I'm only 5' 7" and 150lbs so a bigger bike isn't really a big deal, not that I won't get a bigger one later but for now this will do the job...for being a 74' it has less than 12,000 miles on it so once I got over it and do all the maintenance it should run really well...I wanna thank everyone for commenting on my post and tryin to help me out, it's REALLY appreciated...my girls dad has a Harley and has been riding for a long time so he's gonna help me with a lot of stuff but I don't think he has ever did any customization...

No problem. The owner of the black bike isn't going to get up much speed with no throttle, drive chain, etc. Another example of an unfinished project. I've been told "This is the nature of projects." :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Keep in mind that the Fr disk brake has greater stopping power than the rear drum brake.
Some old time Harley guys have a preference for the rear brake... no offense intended towards anyone.
