Hi, i finally got the time to join the forum to read the wealth of knowledge here. i bought my bike in August and absolutely love it. i bought it with pods and an exhaust and now im hacking it up to make it my own. i apologize to the true-ists but i have to make it my own. its a '79 kz650SR and i plan to make it a mild cafe racer. so here it is...

Welcome to KZR!
My father's family is from Mauch Chunk, PA. I spent many summers in the Poconos's back in the day.
My experience is that Pabst beer will rust up the inside of your tank right now, be on your guard.

Bill, I go down to Jim Thorpe quite a bit its a great ride. I'll be posting more pics of my bike soon. Living in PA makes it hard to work on my bike since I don't have a garage. Should be welding in a bracket soon to keep my frame bent to fit my new seat pan over the frame. After that its all smooth running. I miss riding this winter is no fun
