Hello from Norcal!

So, I've made a few posts and met some very nice folks on this forum, but I thought I'd take a minute and properly introduce myself. My name is Paul and I live in northern California. I am a collector of "vintage" Japanese bikes. My wife and I both ride road bikes and I do some flattrack racing when time allows. Between the Mrs. and I we have 8 motorcycles in the garage and it looks like I'm going to have to expand the garage before I can add much more to my collection. My wife has for many years ridden her GPZ550 but has wanted to upgrade for a while now, so last weekend we went and picked her up a GPZ1100! The list from the garage goes something like this, from oldest to newest:
1977 stock framed TT500 based flattrack racer
1978 Yamaha RD400
1978 J&M framed TT500 flattrack racer
1981 Kawasaki GPZ1100
1983 Suzuki GS1100es (my old hot rod)
1984 Kawasaki GPZ550
2005 Kawasaki ZRX
2007 Yamaha TTR125 (race track pit bike)

This forum has been a wealth of information and I expect it will continue to be so as I tear into our most recent arrival, the big GPZ.

Trianglelaguna in Carmel, You've probably been to Laguna Seca a few times too. I did a Keith Code Superbike school there in 2000 or 2001. I had been to the dry lagoon many times before, but the first time I actually "saw" the corkscrew in person was looking over the bars of one of the school's ZX6! What a great track!
