Got me an 82 KZ1000 about a year ago now, been slowly changing it into a cruiser. This site has been really invaluable in helping me with the technical stuff..ie carbs, electrical bugs, and such, so i thought it was about time i said hi! and THANKS!!!
I will be getting a build thread going and then will get a link here for those oh so necessary pics lol.

Just before christmas i lost my daily ride (a 73 cb500) to a patch of illegal sand in a curve which put me into the ditch and wiped out the front end of the bike. So I was looking on another forum to see if anyone had a parts bike cheap so I could get it back on the road and I get a response from a guy who wants it for so he can do the cafe thing. Long story short i traded him my wrecked cb500 and $200 for this 76 kz 750.
Spent a couple hours today putting all the pieces back on. seems all there except for one side cover. He had pulled the carbs and rebuilt them( hence the $200) and bought some pods but hadn't put them back in. Thankfully he hadnt yet pulled the stock filter box! So anyway its back together and i have fuel and spark but the starte moter spins without engaging and turning the engine over and i couldn't get her to fire over off the kicker today. Hopefully can figure it out soon and get to riding. Really missing having a bike to ride as my kz1000 project keep suffering from life delays. Looking forward the the 750 twin experience!

(had to have my friend ride it while I shot the video because the technology of a smart phone is beyond him )
I have a daily rider again!

Welcome! I lived in Oregon for 31 years and couldn't stand the rain anymore so I left and after a few years ended up in Florida for the second time.
