thanks for the opportunity to introduce myself.
I am Marcel, 35 jears old, and totally into old cars & bikes.
Bought a 1980 750 LTD from a cousin, and trying to build my first bob/chop out of it.
Wasn't satisfied with the triple backbone, so took it out. Still needs tons of work..but hey..it's MY bike
I already found tons of info on this site, thanks for that!

you must be one hell of a talent if you can make your frame twist and not be satisfied with it in your first bike... are you sure th frame is the problem?

I suspect he removed it for cosmetic (bob/chop) reasons. :ohmy: I best it will twist now. :whistle: Pictures would be helpful. Ed

hey guys,
I got a sportster tank for my bike, and the triple backbone gives it a bad stance;
so i removed the 2 sidetubes. But...I am gonna make new gussets on the frame ofcourse, because it will twist if i don't strenghten the frame ofcourse.

They have a section for bob/chops I think, as well as a section for Dutch members.
Lots of ideas and links for custom parts.
