Greetings from the Great NW! was created by thoraxotool
Hello everyone!
I bought an '82 KZ550 LTD named Ramona last September. It's my first KZ bike and my first motorcycle.
Got it for $500 off a guy on cragslist. Ramona hadn't run since 2007, and I'm proud to say we had our first ride in December. She's my daily commuter now.
As is common with any machine 30+ years old, Ramona has a few age-related quirks. I look forward to any advice the community will be able to offer.
And because I like to share, the picture is of my bike from about 2 weeks ago up in NE Tacoma.
Thanks!

Welcome.
Your 550 looks to be in great shape, for a 30 year girl.

I hope she stays nice during my time with her. So far only dropped her in a parking lot with no damage. Let's keep it that way,

I bought that same bike new in 82. Rode it everywhere throughout college. I miss those the days. I mean college, where it's sunny year round in Tempe and the grassy area in front of the dorms is like a beach with heavenly creatures worshiping the sun :woohoo: Riding that bike, that was pretty good too though.
Welcome to another PNW member.
