Building a happy home, one bike at a time...
Saying "Hi" was created by Wosmo
Been riding and wrenching vintage UJM for a little while now. Had an '82 KZ750N several years ago and have an '83 Honda CB650SC Nighthawk I've been riding a tweaking for about a year now. I've got the bug pretty bad and I've been watching for a second, smaller bike all spring. I've missed a couple of promising projects but then came this...
I plan to take some time cleaning and tuning (and maybe some cosmetic work) to get it rolling. This will be the 'learning' bike for a little while (my son and possibly even SOQs) before eventually getting flatter bars and maybe even a café seat. I'm pretty excited about the project.

welcome to z-jungle.
I always liked the 550/650 nighthawk with the little fairing,I always thought it was Hondas low buck version of a z1r.

I wonder if you're thinking of the old 700s...
My '83 650...
It's a great bike but I really want to try my hands at a semi café style. I really don't want to cut up a reasonably solid vintage bike and the '70s KZs seem like they're a pretty good bike to start with. Besides, it seems like a pretty good size to start teaching my son and my wife to ride on, and it sounds like they're just plain fun!

Umm the 700S pic wouldn't post...
They were actually introduced as "Tariff Busters". They're a bit more popular/sought after than the 450/550/650 but I like mine better... :silly:
