Is there any kind of maintenance I should be looking into for the belt drive set up before my first ride?
83 kz 440 bobber build. It's my 1st bike/ build I've ever done so it's coming along slow.

Check the belt for frayed fibers and cracks . Check the pulleys to be sure the "teeth" have square shoulders and that any evident wear is even all the way across. Be sure the belt is properly adjusted for slack, in accordance with the fsm. With the bike on its center stand and the transmission in neutral, the rear wheel should turn easily, with no squeaking, uneven tension, or waves, wiggles or woogies in the belt.
