Like I said in another thread with this pic. It makes a statement, I just don't know what and my daughter thinks they're stupid.

Maybe the photo is too big? Here's a topic Patton posted --- it's a sticky in the About the site section of KZR. Be sure to click the Insert button. KZRider --- Posting pics is easy

Photobucket, Flickr & Imgur are handy for storing photos & you could use links to provide pics.

So if I was going to do 12-14" ape hangers does anyone know what I'd be looking at? I figure longer cables and I'd have to splice in some extensions for wiring. Anything else?

Is there any kind of maintenance I should be looking into for the belt drive set up before my first ride?

If your switchgear has locator tabs, then you will most likely have to drill holes for them, as I suspect any ape hangers you find will not be model specific.

Check the belt for frayed fibers and cracks . Check the pulleys to be sure the "teeth" have square shoulders and that any evident wear is even all the way across. Be sure the belt is properly adjusted for slack, in accordance with the fsm. With the bike on its center stand and the transmission in neutral, the rear wheel should turn easily, with no squeaking, uneven tension, or waves, wiggles or woogies in the belt.

The handle bars have to be 7/8". Most are 1". Being that long they could bend easily.

Does anyone have a pn for a gel cell battery for a 81 kz440? I'm going to look into buying one for my bike eventually.

BatteryStuff.com has Scorpion AGM batteries. search: KZ440 agm battery.
Partzilla will have some battery info & if unsure of what's needed, you can probably check the Yuasa site to verify the size.
