I got my first KZ1000A (actually a Z1000) in the UK in 1977. Stupidly sold it in the 80s sometime.
Then got another 77 KZ1000A in 2010 that I completely rebuilt, and sold again recently. I put it on eBay with a high reserve, more or less to see what it was worth, and was shocked when it actually sold. But then I had to honor the deal. That'll teach me!
Now I am on my third. Also a 1977 KZ1000A1. But a project that had been in a horse barn since 1986 or so.
I will post elsewhere for some parts and questions I have about this project. I know that this is probably the best site for answerss.
Thanks,
Peter

Age doesn't matter, at that matters is you're still wrenching and riding, best of luck on the build!

You will quickly discover that most of the regulars around here are picture addicts who will pester you unmercifully until you satisfy them.
Looking forward to the build thread.

Hhmmm.....
I hadn't really contemplated a build thread. I won't be making it into anything radical with a humongous engine size, lowered, or drag style or anything.
Here's a photo of my last KZ that I sold in April (I hope the attaching works)

And here is the state of the current project, now in pieces and baggies etc.

I guess I will start a build thread, but it's going to be a long time between postings I think
